'OMON' refers to a special purpose police unit of the Russian National Guard. Their primary role is to ensure public order and safety, particularly during mass rallies and events. In practical terms, these are the officers who may use force against individuals participating in protests. People tend to fear these units due to their reputation for aggression. This series of collages focuses on imagery of anti-war protests in Russia.

This body of work seeks to facilitate rethinking and dialogue on how we perceive power, political regimes, and our own position in modern society. It also aims to provide an alternative perspective on how the Western world views Russians. I advocate for a more nuanced and human approach to perception, one that avoids quick judgments and generalizations based on nationality. Many Russians oppose the war and government policies in general, facing repercussions for publicly expressing their opinions. My work highlights their experiences and challenges.
